An afternoon at the zoo

On Sunday, I begged Tom to take us to the zoo since it was so nice outside. Finally after Johanna said "zoo" a few times he agreed. Our 1st stop was the Ape house. Tom was trying to convince Jo to sit on the other side of the baby ape. But I thought this was a cute pix of Tom -hehe Jo patted the monkey on the head and then identified his nose, mouth, and eyes for us.
Johanna and Tom checking out the mandrills - we'll at least Tom. Jo was busy watching the other kids passing.
Jo liked to watch the spider monkeys swing across the top of their cage and eat a little snack.
This spider monkey was all over the place. Johanna was all about walking everywhere by herself - Miss Independent.
She loved to walk around the fish house and tell us "more" to go to the next tank.
Mommy's big girl!
Johanna greeted everyone who walked by us with a big "HI!" And if they didn't notice or respond, she said it again until they did. It was very cute!
Check out the hippos eating dinner. We also got to see the elephants eating apples.
