Mots Kite Festival

I took Johanna and Connor to Mots Kite Festival downtown while Tom was at ND with his buddies.  When we got there we ran into a co-worker and her son, Eli.  We had an awesome time!

Oops, Connor has pig tails and Jo is the boy - it was all about Jo reaching a hole by herself.  Next time I'll have to check the picture on the front.

State Fair

Our annual tradition of going to State Fair with Grandpa and Grandma Gaumond continues.  We checked out lots of animals.Cows are by far both Jo and Connor's favorite.
Also another tradition - Corn

Still eating...Cream Puff time.  Johanna and Connor almost ate an entire cream puff themselves.
Connor loved the cream.  He got upset when he wasn't shoveling it in.
A new experience for Johanna - the GIANT slide!  She looked really nervous on the way up
But wheeeeeeee......
She loved it!  I was shocked!
When we went back a few days later to the fair, I jokingly asked Johanna if she wanted to go on the slide again.  She yelled "YA!"
Time to go.  Connor was exhausted.  He was trying so hard to sleep sitting up.  Grandpa volunteered to carry him to the car so Connor could get some zzzz

My little artists

Fingerpainting 101
I decided to let the kids fingerpaint, but thought outside and no clothes might be a easier clean up, even though the finger paints are "washable".  One less load of laundry for me to do.
Connor wasn't quite sure, but then really got into it.
A little war paint on my tough guy.
Johanna decided she needed some too, but then decided to rinse off in the hose.  She loves to be sprayed with the hose.

Zoo days

We went to the zoo and our first stop was the train.  Both Johanna and Connor love the train.Johanna and Connor love to cruise around together.  It's so adorable.  These moments are the best!Connor checking out the sea lions.

Jo's 1st day of school

Johanna had her 1st day of school today!  She was excited, but not in the routine of getting ready. When we got to school Johanna wanted to wait to her classmates on the bus, but they never came.  (slow start for the buses)  So when the bell rang we went to her classroom to see Mr. P.  She was the 1st student there.  As we left Jo looked like she was going to cry, but then she showed Mr. P her pictures of our family.  As I walked away I dind't hear any tears, we'll have to ask Mr. P when we pick her up.  Finally as I was leaving Jo's friends were getting off the bus.  Have a great day big girl!  Love you!!
