Our family trip to the Zoo

All the animals were out and about this afternoon when we went to the zoo. Daddy said he has never seen the animals so active. We even saw the hippos swimming around in their water.

This guy was quite the character. He came over, rearranged the sheet, and then sat on it for a few minutes. After watching us, he moved on to something a little more exciting.

How big is Johanna compared to a baby gorilla?

Daddy and I really liked to watch the fish swim in the huge aqairuims. Daddy liked the big fish.

This was one scary look! The mandrill was reallly just yawning, but I wouldn't want to meet him in the dark.

Thanks Jonathon!!

Thanks Jonathon for letting me borrow all these toys from you!! I already like to play the cymbols and the drums.

Big Girl at Betty Brinn

Mommy and I took our first trip to the Betty Brinn Children's Museum in downtown Milwaukee. We met our friends Erin, Jonathon, and Baby Lillie. It was lots of fun! Apple picking, block building, drum playing, and a little ride from in the truck with Jonathon.

Time for apple picking -

Hi Lillie! Thanks for letting me cruise with you in your stroller.

Thanks for sharing apples with me Jonathon!

Mmm - what should I play?

Beep, Beep! Here we come.

Bunny Faces!

Johanna loves her little bunny towel from the Lumley's! Plus daddy would say she is "super cute" in it.

Mmm - what is mommy up to? More pictures?

Look at those beautiful blue eyes - they seem to sparkle!

Such a cute bunny!

Thanks Grandma Gaumond!

Thanks Grandma for all the times you have come over to play with me while mommy and daddy are working! Jake loves it when you come to see just him too - at least he thinks you're here just for him!

I'm 8 months old!

Such a happy girl!! Johanna weighs a little over 22 pounds and is getting longer and longer. She likes to sit up and watch Jake and play with her toys. She also can roll over and scoot a little to get to her toys.

Jake was sniffing Johanna and when she turned toward him he quickly turned his head away, like he hadn't done a thing. Tom and I just laughed.

Chowing down with daddy

Open up and say "AH". Daddy is so silly when he feeds me - airplane noises are my favorite.

What is that thing coming at me?

Do you like my prune goatee?

Chomp, chomp, chomp

Those teeth should be here any day! She chomps on everything lately - frogs, socks, toys....

I ran downstairs to change the laundry and when I came back, she took of her sock and was chewing on it. Mmmm.

Rolling along

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling...

Roll over, roll over, send Johanna on over! She can roll over both ways now - time to baby proof the house

Don't even try it mommy - they're all mine.

Now she gets a little upset when I try to take her favorite toy - her horsie.

Nap time

Johanna loves to sleep with her little blanket bear and her baby doll. Most of the time they are on top of her head or on her face.
